Everything you need to know
Travel & Stay
We are so excited to celebrate with you. Here you’ll find everything you need to plan your trip, from flights and accommodations to getting around.
Important Travel Dates
We recommend arriving by July 23, 2029 to settle in due to time difference and long travel days.
01
July 23, 2029 / July 24, 2029
We recommend arriving on Monday, July 23, 2029 or Tuesday July 24, 2029. International travel from Canada can be long, particularly when flights include connections, and the time difference can make the first day feel tiring.
Arriving on Monday gives guests time to settle into their accommodation, recover from jet lag, purchase any essentials, and enjoy the area before the wedding celebrations begin. Monday flights are also often less expensive and less crowded than weekend departures, although this can vary depending on airline schedules and booking dates.
02
July 25, 2029
Our wedding ceremony and reception will both take place at Castel Bay. Guests will not need to travel between venues during the celebration.
Please plan to arrive on time and allow extra time for traffic, parking, and finding your way around the property. We kindly ask that guests arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony start time, so everyone can be seated and settled before the ceremony begins.
Getting There
Castel Bay
2860 Av. de la Font des Horts,
83400 Hyères, France
Whether you’re travelling from near or far, we can’t wait to celebrate with you. Here you’ll find helpful information on flights, airport transfers, and the best ways to reach our wedding destination.
01
Getting to France
For guests travelling from Canada, Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) is likely the best and most convenient airport for reaching our wedding destination. It is the closest major international airport to Hyères and offers the shortest onward journey by train.
Although Toulon–Hyères Airport (TLN) is the closest airport to the venue, it is a very small airport with VERY limited flight connections.
Guests may also fly into Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) or Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), both of which have more international flight options.
AirCanada, WestJet, AirTransat, Air France, KLM, Lufthansa, Swiss, Brussel, French Bee, Porter and all major airline operating in Canada fly into these airports from either Montreal, Toronto or Calgary.
02
Getting to Accomodation
From any of these airports, we recommend continuing by train to Gare de Toulon, the main rail station in the closest major city. Toulon is located approximately 20–25 mins from the wedding venue by car or taxi.
Gare d’Hyères is also an option; however, as Hyères is a smaller city, train connections are more limited. For guests travelling from Nice or Paris, reaching Gare d’Hyères will often require a train change, which can add approximately 30 min to 1 hr to the overall journey.
From Marseille however, many train routes stop at Gare de Toulon before continuing directly to Gare d’Hyères, often without requiring a change of train. Guests travelling from Marseille may therefore find Hyères to be a convenient option, particularly if they are staying nearby.
